Botanismi is a gentle journey into the world of plants. An attempt to weave our human experiences with the green world that surrounds us and that we often forget about in our busy animal lives.

AUDIO WALK
A guided headphone audio work led by the artist along the promenade and beach at St-Leonards-on-Sea. Across the Sea is a sound walk by Australian audio producer Camilla Hannan, created especially for this year’s XMTR Audio Arts Festival.

WORKSHOP
There are many resources available to help you improve your audio, but as makers we rarely get the support we need to make things worse. Led by Nina Garthwaite (In The Dark), this session will introduce you to the basics of bad audio making.

PERFORMANCE / HAPPENING
Join Georgia Walker and Nicola Mecca for a participatory compost installation in which we explore grief, rotting, and transformation through the live composting of sounds and objects.

TALK / SHOW & TELL
David Littlefair and Sam Dook have both been working on sound a music projects with young people and people with access and accessibility needs. They will each demonstrate their processes and experiences to develop collaborative audio work.

INSTALLATION / HAPPENING
An immersive sound installation that speculates on the future of sustainable sonic art practice. Featuring seven propositions for another way of making, the installation invites participants to immerse themselves in the Tiny Lungs Manifesta and then to write their own.
