What happens to us when we listen together?
In a world where we mostly listen alone, scrolling, streaming, plugging in, WE will start from a simple provocation: there is no listening unless it is shared. Listening is relational: tuning your body to the bodies around you, to the room, to the environment. It is an ecology of attention. So we ask: what forms of togetherness emerge when we share the space and time of listening? And what happens - how do we listen - when we are surrounded by other people? What kind of attention gets built? What emotions come alive? We'll ask questions, test ideas, and see what it means to curate our listening with others - together.

Ilaria Gadenz is a PhD candidate in Critical-Curatorial Practices of Contemporary Creation at the Politecnico delle Arti in Bergamo, and an independent producer and audio maker. She co-founded and co-curated Radio Papesse from 2006 to 2024, and since 2011 has supported and collaborated with numerous artists and audio makers, frequently in the role of commissioning editor. From 2019 to 2022, she curated LUCIA, an international festival dedicated to the collective listening of radio works and audio narratives, and a wide constellation of mentoring programs and initiatives in support of experimental audio production. As an independent producer, she has crafted radio series, podcasts, and audio productions for institutions including GAMeC, the Galleria Nazionale dell'Umbria, Fondazione Pistoia Musei, Fondazione Modena Arti Visive, Fondazione Merz, Sistema Museale d’Ateneo – UniFI, Villa Romana, the Goethe-Institut, Pollinaria, RAI Radio 3, and NERO Editions.
