Tullis Rennie is a composer, improvising trombonist, electronic musician, and field recordist based in Hastings. His work, which "foregrounds the act of listening as an active component in the creation of musical experience” (The Wire Magazine), focuses on collaboration and co-production, encompassing sound installation, audio works, video, mixed media and live performances. His latest album 'Safe Operating Space' was released by Efpi Records in 2024, with releases also on Matthew Herbert’s Accidental Jnr label, Moving Furniture Records, Flaming Pines, Luminous, a new wave of jazz and ZeroWave. He is co-director of participative arts organisation Walls On Walls, which facilitates creative actions in community settings. Tullis is a founder member of Barcelona-based A/V collective Insectotròpics, who fuse painting, video projection, electronic music and stage performance, and senior lecturer in composition and creative sound practices at City St Georges, University of London.
