This year, safe + sound are back and bigger than ever. They’ll have 3 listening stations - BEACH / PADDLING / UNDERWATER - where you can listen to selections of audio magic inspired by 3 watery sub themes: <<grounding>> <<floating>> and <<diving>>.

<<GROUNDING>>
Kick back on a beach towel or sun lounger while you listen to a selection of audio on the theme of <<grounding>>. You'll be listening individually - a chance to have some solo time during the busy festival, hearing reflections on land, connecting to the world around you, finding what tethers you, your place in the universe.

<<FLOATING>>
Paddle up to our inflatable shallow water listening station to hear a selection of audio on the theme of <<floating>>. This is a group listening experience, for the times you feel adrift - tune in to non linear narratives and abstract sound art, pieces exploring extraordinary experiences and the etherial realms of the unknown.

<<DIVING>>
Don your goggles and take one of our underwater mp3 players to listen while submerged in the sea to a selection of pieces about times when you've taken the plunge: swimming, deep dives into specific subjects, the fool tarot card...

So, bring your swimming costumes, or at the very least shoes and socks you can take off easily to paddle! Audio crab and octopus Kit Callin and Jesse Lawson will be there tending to all your listening needs.

safe + sound always operates as a fundraiser - they'll be selling some sweet merch to raise money for Refugee Buddy Project.

safe + sound is an audio collective formed by audio producers Kit Callin (Bristol/Isle of Man) and Jesse Lawson (London). They run sonic open mic nights, lead workshops on audio making, and install immersive sound experiences at festivals.
