On the edge of Hastings Pier - a stone’s throw from the beach - you’ll find the Sound Sauna; a tranquil listening space where we turn the heat up to eleven. Here we invite you can take a breath, and engage in deep listening in community, before heading for a cold plunge (or a dip in the sea).

Sauna Hats optional, swimwear essential. Bring a towel (or two) and an open mind.

Hayley Clarke

Listen to a bespoke sound installation about the joy and ritual of sauna culture. Hosted by Samphire sauna, featuring excerpts from their guests and other saunas.

Hayley Clarke is an audio producer from the south coast of England, now based in London. Her career spans nearly two-decades of specialist music programme, and documentary making for the BBC, the British Council and beyond. In her ever-developing creative practice, her passion lies in capturing stories of community and connection, amateur field recordings and producing short form features.
