Hooked on Hope Recast: Episode 1 - Clint Best vs the Cosmos
Paul Nataraj (UK, 2020)

This episode is part of an ongoing collaboration between angling writer James Gilbraith and sound artist Paul Nataraj. In this, which was the first piece produced between the pair, is a story of competitive sports fishing at its most psychedelic. James takes on the 'National Association of Local Government Officers', the farmer's mad dog Ming, his long standing rival and best friend Mick Crook, and an epic comedown on a baking hot summer's day in Blackburn circa 1990. Who'll come out on top, Clint Best or the Cosmos?
